Comments on the geologic information

  • THERE ARE TWO DISTINCT OREBODIES THAT HAVE BEEN RECOGNIZED. THE NO. 1 OREBODY STRIKES AT AN AZIMUTH OF 60 DEGREES AND DIPS 55 DEGREES NORTHWEST. IT LIES BETWEEN FOOT- WALL ROCKS WHICH CONSIST OF METAVOLCANIC AND METASEDIMENTARY UNITS, GRANITES, AND SUDBURY BRECCIA. FOOTWALL NORITW, REGARDED AS A PART OF THE MAIN IRRUPTIVE, DEFINES THE HANGING WALL. THE NO. 1 OREBODY IS APPROXIMATELY 610 METERS LONG, AVERAGES 30 METERS WIDE, AND EXTENDS FROM THE SURFACE TO AT LEAST 792 METERS IN DEPTH. THE NO. 2 OREBODY STRIKES AT AN AZIMUTH OF 135 DEGREES. THIS OREBODY IS EMPLACED BETWEEN METABASALTS AND GRANITES. IT IS APPROXIMATELY 273 METERS LONG, HAS AN AVERAGE WIDTH OF 52 METERS, AND EXTENDS A DEPTH OF 91 METERS TO 366 METERS.
