Comments on the geologic information

  • HUCKLEBERRY GRANODIORITE PORPHYRY STOCK HAS INTRUDED INTO MID-JURASSIC HAZELTON PYROCLASTIC VOLCANIC ROCKS. THE MINERALIZED ZONE BASICALLY IS AT THE CONTACT BETWEEN THE STOCK AND THE VOLCANICS EMANATING AWAY FROM THE STOCK. THE VOLCANICS ADJACENT TO THE STOCK HAVE BEEN METAMORPHOSED TO HORNFELS AND ARE HIGHLY FRACTURED. THE STOCK IS SURROUNDED BY A SERIES OF ALTERATION HALOS - POTASSIC ZONE 60-300M OUTSIDE THE STOCK; PYRITE HALO 190M WIDE AND EXTENDING 3050M EASTWARD; CHLORITE HALO AT VARYING DISTANCES OUTSIDE PYRITE HALO. HAZELTON PYROCLASTICS CONSISTS PRINCIPALLY OF PLAGIOCLASE, QUARTZ + BIOTITE, WITH MAGNETITE SET IN A VERY FINE-GRAINED MATRIX OF THE SAME COMPOSITION.
