  • A $104.48 SMELTING COST IN ADDITION TO THE $0.07 MILLING COST PER TONNE OF ORE ARE INCURRED IN THE PRODUCTION OF PRODUCT A. THE BY-PRODUCTS, ILMENITE, ZIRCON AND MONAZITE, ARE NOT SOLD ON A REGULAR BASIS. THEY ARE STOCKPILED AT THE MINE. BUYERS PURCHASE THESE PERIODICALLY AS DEMAND REQUIRES. THERE IS NO LONG-TERM CONTRACT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SMELTERS AND PRODUCERS. CONCENTRATE IS SOLD TO THE SMELTER WHICH OFFERS THE BEST PRICE AT THE TIME OF SALE.
