  • CHLORITE, CALCITE, EPIDOTE AND QUARTZ ARE GANGUE MINERALS OF MINOR GOLD. FREE GOLD IS KNOWN BUT THE GREATER PROPORTION APPEARS TO OCCUR IN CHALCOPYRITE. THE DEPOSIT IS DEVOID OF METALLURGICALLY SIGNIFICANT MINOR ELEMENTS OTHER THAN GOLD AND SILVER.

Deposit THE RECOVERABLE RESOURCE AT THE 75% PROBABILITY LEVEL IS 42,693,000 METRIC TONS OF ORE. CADIA IS A LOW GRADE PORPHREY COPPER DEPOSIT WITH AN OXIDIZED GOLD CAP. COPPER CONSIDERED TO BE UNECONOMIC AT CURRENT PRICES (1988). EXPLORATION EMPHASIS IS ON THE GOLD CAP IN 1987 & 1988.
