Comments on the workings information

  • THIS MINE HAS A LOT OF IMPORTED EQUIPMENTS FROM EUROPE AND UNITED STATES.

Comments on other economic factors

  • DAILY MINE CAPACITY WAS ESTIMATED BASED ON THE MILL CAPACITY. THIS ASSUMES THAT THE 15% DILUTION FACTOR IS REFLECTED IN THE 1,650 MT ORE/DAY VALUE. THE LESS THAN COMPLETE EXTRACTION & DILUTION REPRESENT THE DIFFERENT CONDITIONS (LOWER GRADE AND LARGER STOPES) AS COMPARED TO THE OTHER MINES IN THE VICINITY. A 20-METER PILLAR IS LEFT BETWEEN STOPES FOR SUPPORT. ROCK BOLTS AND CABLE BOLTS ARE USED FOR BACK SUPPORT. LUMBER SUPPORT WERE USED. MOBILE CRUSHER (2) FROM CANADA IS USED UNDERGROUND. THE ORE ZONE IS STILL OPEN AT A 600M DEPTH. THE MINE IS ACCESSED BY A 5-M DIA. CONCRETE-LINED VERTICAL SHAFT FOR ORE HOISTING AND A DECLINE FOR WHEELED VEHICLES. AN UNUSUAL PROBLEM AT SANSHANDAO IS THE HIGH SALINITY OF THE MINE WATER(CL-ION CONTENT GREATER THAN THAT OF THE SEAWATER).THIS CAUSES CORROSION PROBLEMS FOR THE EQUIPMENT.SPECIAL WATER-MONITORING STUDIES ARE CONDUCTED TO GUARD AGAINST AN INRUSH.
  • ASSUME 350 WORKING DAY.
  • THE MILL HEAD GRADE OF 2.2 G/MT ORE IS REPORTED AND BASED ON A CUT-OFF GRADE OF 2.0 G/MT.
