Comments on the geologic information

  • The prospect is in a large altered zone along the margin of the Nabesna Pluton in an area underlain by Triassic Nikolai Greenstone; both the Nabesna granitic rocks and the Nikolai Greenstone are cut by Tertiary porphyry dikes and small stocks.
  • Central Altered Zone (about 600 x 2,000 meters) contains abundant chlorite, minor biotite, and potassium feldspar, and spotty sericite. Outer Zone (2,000 x 3,000 meters) contains chlorite, epidote, and anhydrite.
