| Deposit | IT IS REPORTED THAT THE MINE WAS OPERATED AROUND 1850. NO FUTHER INFORMATION WAS FOUND. IN THE 1940-49 PERIOD THE PROPERTY WAS OWNED BY THE SUNSET L ELOPMENT COMPANY. THE DEPOSIT IS 5 MILES(8 KM) NORTH OF SOMERVILLE AND ABOUT 3 (1.2 KM) SOUTHEAST OF PLUCKEMIN. THE DEPOSIT LIES ON TOP OF THE LAVA FLOW THAT COMPRISES FIRS AIN. AN ARTIFICIAL LAKE NOW COVERS PART OF THE DEPOSIT. |
