| Deposit | LOCATION / IN NORTH ARLINGTON, NEW JERSEY, NEAR THE CORNER O LER AVENUE AND BELLEVILLE PIKE. HISTORY / DISCOVERED IN 1714 AND WORKED CONTINUOUSLY UNTIL 1 1899 THE ARLINGTON COPPER COMPANY INITIATED A DEVELOPMENT PR ESULTING IN ESTIMATES OF 5000000 SHORT TONS OF ORE AT 2.5% C A MILL, POWER PLANT, ROASTING FURNACES, AND LEACHING TANKS W LT AT THIS TIME. LEACHING OF THE ORE BY DILUTE SULPHURIC ACI D TO BE UNSUCCESSFUL AND THE WHOLE OPERATION WAS ABANDONED S REAFTER. NO WORK HAS BEEN DONE SINCE THEN. OWNERS / THE OWNERS SHOWN ON REC 02X WERE THOSE OF NOV 1943 SHIP PERCENTAGES ARE APPROXIMATE. DEPOSIT CHARACTERISTICS / THE DEPOSIT OUTCROPS ON THE SIDE O FF AND DIPS DOWNWARD INTO IT. THE AVERAGE DEPTH TO THE MINER ZONE COULD BE TAKEN AS 0. |
