Deposit THIS MINE IS LOCATED NEAR A CHURCH IN ROC INGS. THERE MAY BE SOME OPPOSITION TO RENEWED MINING HERE. THERE ARE NO ANALYSES OF CHROMITE OR CR FE RATIO GIVEN FOR THIS DEPOSIT. IN GENERAL HOWEVER THE PA AND MARYLAND ORES WOULD PROBABLY MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR CHEMICAL GRADE. THIS MINE CONSISTS OF TWO MAIN SHAFTS ENLARGED AT THE MOUTH FILLED WITH WATER. FROM USGS BULL 1082K 1960. DATE OF COMMENTS 1975.
