| Deposit | Alkali deposits of the Independence Group (Berthaton + Dupont) are in 2 old river channels north of the present Sweetwater River. The channels are 3 miles apart and separated by a marked divide. New York and Philadelphia claims are in one lake. Wilmington an Wilkesbarre are lakes containing water thorughout the year. |
