  • THE LENINGOYSK MINE LIES IN A LEAD MINERAL BELT. THE MINE HAS BECOME SUPERANNUATED. MINE AREAS IN ITS VACINITY ARE UNDER STUDY FOR POSSIBLE DEVELOPMENT BUT SOME OF THEM MAY HAVE PROBLEMS IN RESPECT TO QUALITY, IT WAS EXPLAINED BY A JAPANESE GOVERNMENT-INDUSTRY MISSION THAT RECENTLY RETURNED FROM A TOUR OF THE METAL AND MINING INDUSTRIES IN KAZAKHSTAN AND UZBEKISTAN.
