  • PLANS TO START UP A PILOT PLANT IN MARCH 1994 AT ITS NEWLY-DELINEATED NATURAL FLAKE CRYSTALLINE GRAPHITE DEPOSIT AT SALTO DA DIVISA, ON THE BORDER OF MINAS GERAIS AND BAHIA STATES. THE PLANT IS ANTICIPATED TO PRODUCE 40,000 METRIC TONS PER YEAR OF BENEFICIATED PRODUCT OF 95% GRAPHITE CONTENT AND HAS THE CAPACITY TO PRODUCE AT THIS LEVEL FOR MORE THAN 100 YEARS. THE ORE HAS A 5 TO 6 PERCENT GRAPHITE CONTENT.
