  • ALL INFORMATION BECAME AVAILABLE IN EARLY 1990 (AFTER NETWORK FLOW MODEL BUILT). LOCATED ABOUT 4 KM SSE OF TOWN OF PRENJAS, IN THE LIBRASH DISTRICT. COORDINATES ARE OF KATJEL. AS OF 1988: PRODUCING 35,000 MTPY ROM AT 32-34 % CR2O3. DETAILED EXPLORATION PROJECT UNDERWAY (STILL NOT COMPLETED AS OF 10/89) RESERVE SAID TO BE 350,000 MT (BEFORE COMPLETION OF EXPLORATION PROGRAM). 1992 ADIT CHANGES: SEQ. NO. WILL REPRESENT 3 MINES (KATJIEL, FISHKASH, AND BUSHTRICA). KATJIEL ROM CAPACITY=35,000 MTPY; PROD.=35,000 MT ROM. RESERVE BASE GRADE IS AVG. OF 30-36 % CR2O3 RANGE GIVEN.
  • C.R.U. REPORTS THAT MOST OF THE ORE GRADES RANGE FROM 25 TO 35 PERCENT CHROMITE. ABOUT 10 PERCENT OF THE ORE GRADES 40 TO 42 PERCENT CHROMITE. KATJIEL SEQ. NO. REPRESENTS 3 MINES; KATJIEL, FISHKASH, AND BUSHTRICA.
