Deposit THE MINE IS WEST OF THE HAN RIVER NEAR THE TOWN OF ZHONGXIANG. THE DEPOSIT IS LOCATED BETWEEN THE HANSHAI (HAN RIVER) AND THE DAHONGSHAN UPLANDS TO THE NORTHEAST. ELEVATIONS RANGE FROM 200 TO 1680 METERS. MINE COMPLETED IN 1963 WITH A CAPACITY OF 600,000 TONS/YR. MINE HAS A MEDIUM SIZE RESERVE IN THE PRECAMBRIAN DOUSHANTUO FORMATION.
