Deposit EXPANSION START 6/91, TO END 3/93. FOR SALE-PRIVATIZATION. CURRENT TECHNOLOGY AT THE PASAR SMELTER INCLUDE OUTOKUMPU FLASH SMELTING, PIERCE-SMITH CONVERTERS, ANODE FURNACE, PERIODIC CURRENT REVERSAL ELECTROLYTIC REFINING FACILITIES, AND AN ANODE SLIMES TRAEATMENT PLANT. CURRENT CAPACITY IS 165,000 MTPA ANODE COPPER. A DOUBLE CONTACT ACID PLANT IS USED TO CONTROL SO2 EMMISIONS. WEAK ACID IS ALSO PRODUCED AND IS NEUTRALIZED WITH LIME, PRODUCING GYPSUM.
