  • THE KING ISLAND SHEELITE MINE WAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED AT THE END OF NOVEMBER 1990, DUE TO DEPRESSED TUNGSTEN PRICES. SITE RECLAMATION INCLUDING THE DISMANTLING OF EXISTING STRUCTURES AND REVEGATATION BEGAN SHORTLY AFTER.
