SURV.AND MINING RECOMMENCED END 1951. MINING BY INCLINED SHAFTS-COMPANY(NAME UNKNOWN) MINING ON A ROYALTY BASIS. OCCURRENCE AS SEAMS OF CROSS-FIBER CHRYSOTILE IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO UPPER CONTACT OF A DOLERITE INTRUSION INTO DOLOMITE OF DOLOMITE SERIES (TRANSVAAL SYSTEM). 3 PERSISTENT HORIZONS ALONG(PARALLEL TO) CONCORDANT IGNEOUS CONTACT-DIP INCREASED TO WEST. ASBESTOS SEAMS KNOWN TO BE PRESENT ALONG MORE THAN 4,300 M OF THE DOLOMITE/DOLER- ITE CONTACT. OTHER OCCURRENCES TO NW AND SE OF MAIN DEPOSIT. ORE CONTAINS 2%CHRYSOTILE,MOSTLY GRADE 3. LOCATED 8 MILES(12.8KM) WEST OF KANYE.
