THE BROKEN ORE PRESENT IN-SITU AT THE GUNPOWDER PROPERTY THIS ORE WILL BE TREATED (IN-SITU) FIRST (1981) BEFORE Q1 ORE IS EXPLOITED (1982-1995).   • GUNPOWDER COMPLEX CLOSED DOWN IN NOVEMBER 1977 AFTER EXPANSION BEGINNING IN 1972 MOST OF THE EXPANSION WAS COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE 1977 CLOSURE. IN 1979 IT WAS DECIDED TO REOPEN GUNPOWDER USING AN IN-SITU BACTERIAL LEACHING OPERATION (TO BE INSTALLED BY 1981) AT A YEARLY CAPACITY OF 600,000 MT ORE PRODUCING 8400 MT OF 45% CEMENT COPPER YEARLY.
