Economic information

Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = This occurrence consists of small veinlets of chalcopyrite and of disseminated pyrite and pyrrhotite in greenstone 'pods' in sedimentary rocks of the Orca Group (Jansons and others, 1984; Nelson and others, 1985). These pods probably represent localized mafic flows or structurally disrupted flows. Ten grab samples analyzed from the area contained from 29 ppm to 3.35% Cu (Jansons, 1984).
  • Age = Probably Tertiary based on the age of the host rocks.
