Economic information

Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = A magnetite skarn occurs in the head of Granite Creek in a region mainly composed of mixed dioritic rocks of Richter's Jurassic 'tectonic quartz-diorite unit' (Richter, 1966). Gold can be panned from the streams that drain the skarn (Kirk Stanley, written communication, 2000). The skarn is on the west side of the diorite complex (WGM Inc., 1979).
  • Age = Possibly associated with emplacement of Richter's (1966) Jurassic, quartz-diorite complex.
