Economic information

Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = This creek drains an area underlain by thrust slices of greenstone and turbidite. In addition to the gold there are reports of palladium in this placer (Balen, 1990: OFR 34-90). The source of the placer gold is unknown. The source of the palladium might be ultramafic rocks, such as those at HE159.
  • Age = Quaternary.
