Relative position Cobb and Reed (1981) reported that placer gold activity has occurred at about this location on the Necons River. The Necons River is a moderate-size stream that flows southwest to the Stony River from headwaters in the Alaska Range. The map site is below Two Lakes, in the NW1/4 section 24, T 11 N, R 27 W, of the Seward Meridian. The location is very approximate, perhaps within several miles.
