  • Geologic Description = At this site a porphyritic basalt sill intrudes sedimentary rock of the Paleocene to Eocene Tolstoi Formation (Wilson and others, 1995). A sample collected by the U.S. Geological Survey in the mid- 1980s was reported to be anomalous in gold, copper, and lead (Wilson and others, 1988).
