Relative position This site is at an elevation of about 3800 feet on a ridge 1.5 miles SW of the head of Millichetah Creek. It is in the N1/2 of sec. 35, T. 24 N., R. 24 E., of the Kateel River Meridian. Location is accurate to within 1000 ft. The site corresponds to locality 40 of Grybeck and Nelson (1981).

Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = This occurrence consists of a grab sample of copper-stained, orange-weathering marble (Nelson and Grybeck, 1981). Marble unit is part of the Devonian and Silurian Skajit Limestone (Nelson and Grybeck, 1980). Sample of marble contained 500 ppm As, 15,000 ppm Cu, 5000 ppm Pb, 7000 ppm Sb, and 7000 Zn. No other mineralization observed in the area.
