Economic information

Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = This occurrence is a contact metamorphic deposit at the contact of Devonian granite and Paleozoic schist (Grybeck and Nelson, 1981). Selected samples contain up 5 ppm Ag, 100 ppm Bi, 1 percent Cu, 30 ppm Sn, and 700 ppm Zn. The deposit is related to intrusion of the granite and is similar to other contact-metamorphic deposits in the Brooks Range (Newberry and others, 1986).
  • Age = Devonian; related to the intrusion of Devonian pluton.
