Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = The Surprise prospect consists of barite and sulfide mineralization in a Mississippian to Permian black shale horizon (J. Britton, oral communication, 1998). Sedimentary exhalative Pb-Zn type mineralization was intersected in 3 drill holes. Grades of approximately 3% combined lead and zinc occurred over intervals ranging from 10 to 24 feet.
  • Age = Mississippian to Permian.
