| Relative position | This prospect is on the west side of the cirque valley at the head of Cobalt Creek in the Russian Mountains. The map site is at an elevation of about 1,850 feet, about 0.25 mile west of a small cirque-basin lake, in the NW1/4 sec. 8, T. 18 N., R. 54 W., of the Seward Meridian. This is sample locality 12 of Bundtzen and Laird (1991). |
