| Deposit | HISTORICALLY THE PLANT HAD 5 WELLS IN A 20 ACRE TRACT LYING IMMEDIATELY NORTH OF CENTER OF SECTION 13, T21N R17W. THE WELLS AVERAGE 2000 FEET DEEP. IN THE VICINITY OF THE PLANT A SINGLE 20 FOOT BED OF SALT IS FOUND AT ABOUT 2000 FEET. IN THE SOUTH OF THE FIELD TWO SALT BEDS ARE FOUND - A TEN FOOT BED AT ABOUT 1940 FEET AND A BED 20 FOOT THICK AT 2020 FEET. THE TWO BEDS ARE SEPARATED BY BROWN LIMESTONE. BROMINE AND MAGNESIA WELLS PRODUCE BRINES FROM WELLS APPROXIMATELY 2400 FEET DEEP THAT IS IN THE FILER SANDSTONE IN THE LOWER PART OF DETROIT RIVER FORMATION. |
