| Deposit | From Tim Hayes, Jan. 22, 2010: "SAMBA is not sediment-hosted. It is hosted by basement rock to the Katangan Supergroup. It is associated with pre-metamorphic K-feldspar-veined rock and there is also some pre-metamorphic epidote identified. It has been interpretively called a pre-Kibaran-metamorphism porphyry Cu deposit. OK to have it included in the database, but not in the models because it doesn't fit the deposit model." |
