Deposit "Southwest and west of Baggs. A belt of gravels 40 mi by 30 mi extends along the Snake River, in Colorado and Wyoming. The gravels vary from 2 ft to 20 ft thick, but average 9 ft and contain some placer gold". (Bull 50, 1966, p. 83)
