Environmental Factors Entire front of the mountainside between Unknown in York Canyon (10181388 )and Unknown in Leyland Canyon (10400410) in SE of NW sec. 18 has been reclaimed by BLM. Reclamation is obvious from the highway. BLM calls this "Layland Site" [http://waterplan.state.wy.us/BAG/bear/briefbook/aml/sld013.html]
Deposit "Recent sampling in Leyland Canyon by the U.S. Geol. Survey shows that there is one 5.8 ft interval which carries from 64.5% to 68.7% B.P.I.; one 3.8 ft interval which averages 65.6% B.P.I., and one 5.4 ft interval which shows from 56.7% to 68.4% B.P.I." (Bull. 50, p. 148).
