Comments on the reserve resource information

  • Grootboom Tailings Dam (GTD) individual PGE+Au element grades are: Pt=1.15, Pd=0.77, Rh=0.39, Au=0.01, Ir=0.28, Ru=1.26.
  • From Reference 1: According to Samancor Limited (1996) about 98.1% of the material on the Grootboom Tailings Dam came from chromite mining on Grootboom 336KT farm, the rest from Annex Grootboom 335KT farm. Using amount added to the GTD since 1996, the calculated split is 89.4% from Grootboom 336KT, the rest from Annex Grootboom.
