  • Location description in Bowles, 1955 is incorrect. Correct location is about 3 mi. NW of Keeler on Hwy 136, then north about 1/4 mi on an inaccessible track (shown as a unmaintained road) to an adit on the Dolomite 7 1/2-minute topographic map, 1987. (2 adits are shown on the topo in the SE quarter section, this is the one farther west)

  • Small shipments of asbestos were made to eastern U.S. for filter use in 1940 and 1941. Both long slip-fiber and cross-fiber asbestos are present. (Bowles, 1955, p. 25)
