Comments on the reserve resource information

  • The largest trona resource in the USA. Total resource in 22 persistent tron beds is estimate at 115.6 billion metric tons of which 68.7 billion tons are bedded trona deposits and 46.9 billion tons are interbedded or intermixed trona and halite. Economically mineable trona reserves are estimated at 36 billion tons of refined sodium carbonate. (Leigh, 1998, in PIC-40, p. 1)
