Subject category Comment text
Deposit From p. 20 of the DMEA Docket 2670: "Several ton[s] of ore have been removed and the ore is of a very good grade. Several assays of the ore have ben obtained and the assays show the iron content to range from 56% to 59.6%" "Some exploration work has been done on the claims described in the contract and iron ore veins have been discovered. One tunnel back into a hill has been carried a distance of about 30 ft and it looks as though there is a very good iron ore deposit. The tunnel has caved in because of the overburden."
