Economic information

Comments on the geologic information

  • Geologic Description = This unnamed occurrence is near a high-angle normal fault between Paleozoic to Precambrian pelitic schist on the south and Paleozoic phyllitic argillite on the north (Dover and Miyaoka, 1988). The occurrence consists of chalcopyrite and secondary copper minerals in quartz and carbonate veins in greenschist, greenstone, and thin carbonate layers. The vein material is estimated to be less than 3 percent of the exposed rock (Clark and Foster, 1971).
