General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit SCHEELITE OCCURS IN A NARROW TACTITE ZONE ALONG THE CONTACT BETWEEN CALCAREOUS METASEDIMENTS AND GRANITE. THE CONTACT GENERALLY PARALLELS THE BEDDING WITH SOME TONGUES OF GRANDIORITE CUTTING ACROSS THE BEDS. NARROW BANDS OF TACTITE HAVE BEEN FORMED IN PLACES ALONG THE CONTACT. SCHEELITE MINERALIZATION OCCURS ERRATICALLY I N MOST OF THE TACTITE. K-SPAR VEINING ON A MINOR SCALE NOTED.
Deposit JEAKINS MINE IS GIVEN PREFERENCE BY TINGLEY AND STAGER (NBMG BULL. 105). SITE OVERLAPS EMPIRE & GERLACH DISTRICTS. THIS RECORD HAS BEEN MERGED WITH M234142 AND M242623, WHICH HAVE BEEN DELETED.
