Comments on the geologic information

  • PRINCIPAL MINERAL ASSEMBLAGES: SCLT + MLBD + CLCP + QRTZ + TRML; SCLT + MLDB + CLCP + QRTZ + FLDP + EPDT. MINERALIZATION PROBABLY GENETICALLY RELATED TO REGIONALLY DEVELOPED PEGMATITES WHICH, IN TURN, ARE PROBABLY METAMORPHOGENIC. MINERALIZATION IS FRACTURE CONTROLLED WITH VEINS OCCUPYING MAJOR SHEAR ZONES. VEINS VARY FROM A FEW CMS TO 1 M IN WIDTH AND FROM ABOUT 1 M TO ABOUT 1 KM IN LENGTH. OVER 50 KNOWN SCHEELITE OCCURRENCES IN DISTRICT.
  • PRINCIPAL MINERAL ASSEMBLAGES: PLGC + BOTT + HBLD + QRTZ + SCLT + FLRP + PYRT + PYTT + CLCT. SCHEELITE-BEARING ZONE IN PEGMATITE IS 1,000 M ALONG STRIKE, 200 M DEEP. OREBODIES CONSIST OF SCHEELITE-RICH POCKETS CONTAINING AS MUCH AS 700 TONS OF WO3 (CHUNG, C.K., 1975)
