Comments on the geologic information

  • PRINCIPAL MINERAL ASSEMBLGES: SCLT + WLFM + GRNT + DPSD + VSVN + HBLD + FLRT + CSTR + PYTT + PYRT + MGNT + BSMT + BSMN + CLCP + SPLR + STNT + CLRT + FLDP + QRTZ + MICA + BYRL; SCLT + MLBD + BSMN + WLFM + QRTZ + PYRT + PYTT + TOPZ + MSCV + BRYL + FLDP + FLRT + SCRT. OREBODIES OCCUR WITHIN A FLAT-LYING DEPOSIT THAT IS 1,000 M LONG, 600 TO 800 M WIDE AND 200 TO 500 M THICK. SCHEELITE OCCURS MAINLY IN SKARN AND WOLFRAMITE OCCURS IN QUARTZ VEINS AND STOCKWORKS THAT ARE SUPERIMPOSED ON BOTH SKARN AND UNDERLYING GREISENIZED GRANITE. THIS DEPOSIT IS THE LARGEST KNOWN TUNGSTEN DEPOSIT IN THE WORLD. DEPOSIT IS ZONED: ZONES FROM GRANITE CONTACT OUTWARD ARE 1) W-SN-MO=BI IN GREISENIZED GRANITE, 2) W-SN-MO-BI SKARN WITH STOCKWORK VEINS, 3) W-SN-BE SKARN AND 4) SN-BEARING STOCKWORK VEINS IN MARBLE. MORE THAN HALF OF THE POTENTIALLY MINEABLE ORE CONSISTS OF WOLFRAMITE-BEARING QURTZ VEINS AND STOCKWORKS.
