  • ; ILMN (65% TIO2) O+ ZRCN + LCXN + MINO RUTL AND KYN (+QRTZ); DEPOSIT OCCURS INA MEDIUM GRAINED, POORLY SORTED QUARTZ SANDSTONE PARTLY CONSOLIDATED. AVERAGE THICKNESS IS 7M. AVERAGE GRADE WAS ORIGINALLY 4-5% HM OF WHICH 80-85% WAS ILMN + LCXN AND 3% RUTL.
  • ; ANTS + LCXN + PRVK +- ILMN + MGNT; THE DEPOSIT OCCURS IN A LARGE ALKALINE PIPE (6 KM DIAMETER). IT IS A LATERITIC MANTLE RICH IN ANATASE (AFTER PEROVSKITE) AND APATITE. THE CONCENTRATION IS A RESULT OF THE REMOVAL OF WEATHERED PRODUCTS, PARTICULARLY DROPSIDE, FROM THE ORIGINAL PYROXENITE. AVERAGE DEPTH OF WEATHERING IS 60 M, MAX. IS 200 M. THERE ARE 5 MAJOR WEATHERING ZONES IN THE PROFILE, OF WHICH THE SECOND IS RICH IN ANATASE, AND THE THIRD RICH IN ANATASE AND APATITE (FIRST - ARGILLACEOUS STERILE CAPPING, FOURTH - APATITE ORE, FIFTH- PARTIALLY WEATHERED STERILE ROCK).
