  • ORIG. WORKED PRIOR TO 1890; WORKED DUR. 1890'S. AFTER BEING IDLE MANY YEARS WAS REOPENED IN 1937 AND A NEW MILL WAS ERECTED. MINE OPERATED UNTIL 1940 AND HAS BEEN IDLE SINCE. THE ORE CONTAINED AS MUCH AS $11 PER TON IN GOLD.

Deposit COMPRISES 16.42 ACRES. VEIN MATTER CONSISTS OF QUARTZ, FELDSPAR, CALCITE, AND PYRITE. THERE ARE A NUMBER OF SMALL OPEN CAVITIES IN THE VEIN IN WHICH EUHEDRAL QUARTZ CRYSTALS HAVE GROWN.
