  • GEOL.DESC: ORE BODY LIES PARALLEL TO ENCLOSING CHERT, STRIKES N 25 E, DIPPING 60 SE. THE HANGING WALL IS SOFT BROWN IRON STAINED CHERT AND THE FOOTWALL IS COVERED BY ALLUVIUM. THE ORE BODY IS 15 FT. THICK, AND IS GRAY AND PINK CARBONATE WITH A PROGRESSIVE SILICA CONTENT TOWARD THE FOOTWALL. QUARTZ VEINS CUT THE ORE, AND MASSES OF PYRITE AND SPECKS OF CINNABAR ARE PRESENT. A SMALL AMOUNT OF OXIDE IS FOUND ALONG HANGING WALL.
