  • GEOL.DESC: AREA IS UNDERLAIN BY BIOTITE-HORNBLENDE GRANODIORITE WHICH CONTAINS INCONSPICUOUS QUARTZ VEINS AND NARROW APLITE DIKES. BOTH APLITE DIKES AND VEINS ARE CUT AND DISPLACED ALONG MINERALIZED SHEARS. SHEETED ZONE IS PARALLEL TO JOINT SYSTEMS IN THE GRANODIORITE. BOTH WALLS OF THE 5 FT. VEIN ARE MARKED BY SLICKENSIDED SURFACES WITH SPARE MINERALIZATION EXTENDING INTO THE WALL ROCK.

OTHER WORKINGS INCLUDE FIVE SMALL PROSPECT PITS AND A CAVED ADIT.

Deposit 6 VEINS, PRINCIPAL COPPER VEIN IS 5 FT. WIDE, STRIKES N 5 E AND DIPS VERTICALLY. NEAR-SURFACE EVIDENCE IT APPEARS THAT AN ORE SHOOT WAS FORMED AT THE INTERSECTION OF THE 5 FT. VEIN AND SHEETED ZONE 6 FT. WIDE, STRIKES N 70 E, DIP VARIES FROM 42 - 60 NW. LIMONITE GOSSAN 16 INCHES THICK OCCURS ALONG THE HANGING WALL OF THE SHEETED ZONE.
