  • SOME SPECIMENS ASSAYED AS HIGH AS $18,000 PER TON

Comments on development

  • ORES WERE DIFFICULT TO PAN AMALGAMATE BECAUSE OF THEIR ANTIMONY CONTENT. A 5-STAMP MILL WAS ERECTED IN 1871 BUT THE MINES WERE IDLE 1871-1873 BECAUSE OF LAWSUITS. CHLORIDERS WERE AT WORK IN SUMMER OF 1873 AND SHIPPED A FEW TONS TO EUREKA WHICH YIELDED ABOUT $1200/TON. ONE CARLOAD AG ORE SHIPPED IN 1923.
