Comments on the workings information

  • PRINCIPAL WORKING IS A HAULAGE LEVEL TOTALLING ABOUT 500 FT IN LENGTH WITH ITS 2 BRANCHES. A MINERALIZED FAULT CUT- ABOUT 120 FT FROM THE PORTAL HAS BEEN FOLLOWED BELOW THE HAUL-AGE LEVEL TO A DEPTH OF 34 FT AND ABOVE THIS LEVEL TO THE SURF-ACE, A DISTANCE OF 75 FT. AN ADIT 30 FT BELOW THE HAULAGE LEVE-L INTERSECTS THE ORE ZONE. A SHELF ON THE SOUTH END OF THE PRO-PERTY IS CAVED AND SEVERAL TRENCHES ARE PRESENT ON THE NORTH E-ND OF THE PROPERTY; OPEN CUT, TIN CABIN, RETORTS.

Comments on development

  • IN 1939-1940, DISCOVERER T. C. HAPGOOD RECOVERED 66 FLASKS FROM A 2-PIPE INCLINED RETORT. IN 1941 E. T. FISCHER AN-D T. L. CHAPMAN LEASED THE PROPERTY AND PRODUCED 38 FLASKS. EA-RLY IN 1942, THE LESSEES TURNED THE PROPERTY BACK. IN THE PERI-OD 1960-62, 21 FLASKS WERE PRODUCED BY W. BRUNKE AND F. DARRAH-. THE PROPERTY WAS SUBSEQUENTLY LEASED BY LELAND YORK IN 1965,- WHO PRODUCED 2 FLASKS HG IN 1965. IN 1970, THE CROFOOT LUMBER- CO. LEASED THE PROPERTY AND MINED 400 TONS ORE.
