General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit THE WHOLE IS IMPREGNATED WITH GRAINS OF ZINC BLENDE, PYRITE, PYRRHOTITE, AND CHALCOPYRITE. IN PART THE SULFIDES ARE AGGREGATED AS FLAKES AND THIN FILMS IN MINUTE FRACTURES THAT TRAVERSE THE ROCK IN VARIOUS DIRECTIONS. LOCALLY THEY ARE CONCENTRATED IN BANDS AS MUCH AS 1/4 IN. IN WIDTH. SOME BANDS ARE FORMED ALMOST EXCLUSIVELY OF ZINC BLENDE. OTHERS CONTAIN CHIEFLY THE IRON SULFIDES AND CHALCOPYRITE.
