CURRANT CREEK MINING CO. WAS SHIPPING ORE FROM HERE IN 1940 GOLD POINT CURRANT CREEK MINES CO. FORMED IN LATE 1940 AS A CONSOLIDATION OF THE COMSTOCK GOLD PINT AND THE CURRANT CREEK MINING CO., WHICH TOGETHER REPORTED 500 TONS ORE PRODUCED FROM BOTH WORKINGS.
