Comments on the geologic information

  • MED-DK GREY LS WHICH CONTAINS SOME CRINOID & FOSSIL FRAG. LS IS THICKLY TO MASSIVE BEDDED & CONTAINS A FEW CALCITE VEINS (PROB JOANNA FM.) TWO PARALLEL REPLACED ZONES OR FRACTURES WHICH STRIKE N25W ARE EXPOSED BY PROSPECTS. WITHIN THE REPLACED ZONE THE RK IS BRXIATED AND FILLED WITH GOSSAN & CALCITE VEINS WITH ABUNDANT CU OXS. THE LS ADJACENT TO THIS ZONE IS BLEACHED & HIGHLY SILICIFIED. THE MAIN ZONE OCCURS IN THE BACK OF MAIN PROSPECT AND AT ITS WIDEST EXPOSURE IS 1 FT WIDE. THE RK. ON THE DUMP IS A JUGGY & BANDED VEIN MATERIAL WHICH PROB. FORMED AS SECONDARY FILLING ALONG FRACTURES. THE RK CONSISTS OF WHT BANDS OF RADIATING CLEAR NEEDLES OF HEMIMORPHITE AND LT BLUE BANDS OF SMITHSONITE WITH CU IMPURITIES. THE MINERALIZATION IS A RESULT OF THE OXIDATION OF A ZN-PB-CU SULFIDE DEPOSIT. SAMPLE # 720: WHITE-BLUE BANDED FE STAINED JUGGY RK. WHT BANDS ARE FORMED OF RADIATING HEMIMORPHITE XTALS, BLUE MAY BE CUOX-OR SMITHSONITE.
