| Deposit | THIS GROUP COMPRISES 9 OR MORE CLAIMS AND COVERS MOST OF JOHNSON HILL. THE PRINCIPAL OPENINGS ARE A 400-FOOT TUNNEL AND A 100-FOOT SHAFT. THE TUNNEL SHOWS 6 INCHES TO 18 INCHES OF BANDED AND CRUSHED PARTLY MINERALIZED VEIN MATERIAL FOR MUCH OF ITS LENGTH; HOWEVER, COPPER CARBONATE STAINING IS VERY SPORADIC AND THERE IS NO TRACE OF ORE. THE SHAFT IS ALSO LOCATED ON THE GRANODIORITE-LIMESTONE CONTACT AND AT 100 FEET IS STILL IN THE OXIDIZED ZONE (SCHRADER, 1912, 141-2). ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT |
