  • TAILINGS ARE COLLECTED FROM LAGUNA DE PEDERNALILLO, WHERE THEY WERE CARRIED BY ZACATECAS CREEK AFTER BEING DUMPED BY THE HACIENDAS USING PATIO PREOESS. IN THIS PROCESS, GREAT QUANTITIES OF MERCURY ARE USED TO EXTRACT GOLD AND SILVER, AND MUCH OF THESE MINERALS REMAINS IN THE ROCK.
